All SeNT Referrals are qualitative and condition-specific as designed by panels of Australian clinicians. Every referral contains mandatory prerequisite fields deemed as essential criteria by back-end clinical administrators, specialists and state government health authorities.
All required patient demographics, referring GP details and mandatory clinical data can be tailored to auto import directly into each referral based on the receivers’ requirements.
This BPAC-owned secure messaging system is installed and integrated within GP practices and delivers messages sent from Referral Manager back to the GP Practice Management Systems (PMS) and ultimately within each GPs daily inbox.
These HL7 generated messages sent back by Bridge ensure that GPs don’t miss any notification from the receiver. Each notification must be actioned within the PMS by the GP before it is saved in the relevant patient file. Notifications remain within the GPs daily field of view until actioned.
Referral Manager is a secure cloud-based Referral Management and Triage portal
It works as a receiving triage interface between SeNT Referrals and internal hospital systems, private specialists, labs and allied health professionals.
Features of Referral Manager include powerful sorting and prioritisation of referrals received and archived.
This secure portal also displays both a Referral Status notification and information attachment capability. The portal has been designed to update referral situational awareness back to the GP referrers immediately within SeNT itself and in their practice management system inbox from the referral point of delivery.
Referrals can also be forwarded to other referral manager departments or clinicians if triage admin considers it relevant to do so. Triage codes can be attached to the referral for hospital action requirements.
Referral Manager can also work as an external audit tool when referrals are being integrated as Australian Standard compliant HL7 messages directly into back end hospital systems
Dynamic referral information is always delivered to the correct service authority management of each condition.
Our referral questions can change automatically to ensure only condition specific answers are provided by GPs. These interactive referral changes ensure live updates provide only the relevant qualitative data required within the referral process itself. This auto updating capability can supersede the manual equivalent of numerous paper-based referrals in just the one e-Referral form.
These referrals have consistently proven to dramatically assist with better qualitative clinical outcomes for patient transfer of care. Decreased hospital stay times have often resulted due to all prerequisite information and testing being provided prior to admission of patients.
